Fillings

A filling is used to repair a tooth that is affected by decay, cracks, fractures and trauma. The decayed or affected portion of the tooth will be removed and then filled with a composite (tooth coloured) or amalgam (silver) filling. Composite fillings being tooth coloured are the most common type of filling and provide a close colour match to your existing teeth. Fillings are usually placed in one appointment. The filling is precisely placed, shaped and polished, restoring your tooth to its original shape and function.
